STAR Testing

The purpose of the STAR Program is to measure how well California students are learning the skills and knowledge identified in California’s content standards. The content standards describe what students in each grade should know, and be able to do.
The STAR Program tests make certain that information is collected about the academic achievement of all students on a regular basis. The information is significant in the evaluation of the quality of education provided to California’s students and our school.  ALL second through eighth grade students will participate in an effort to ensure schools have the most complete information possible. STAR Program test results, in addition to other available information, assists school staff in forming a more complete picture or each student’s academic achievement.
Please change any appointments students may have on testing days and make sure your child gets plenty of sleep during the testing dates. We will provide all students testing with a snack mid morning.
Please contact our school if you have any questions about California’s content standards, the STAR Program, or the testing schedule for you student(s). Thank you for your support to your student(s) and our school.
